Description
Coyote is a effort to produce a Project Control that fits in your hands.
The main idea is use it integrated with Agenda VR3 PIM applications: to-do, scheduler and contacts, but I still didn't try it. It's running standalone!
So, what is working now? Here goes a list of features:
- Project Control.
- Task Control.
- Task Event Control.
- Import/Export database tool for desktop (coy2xml and xml2coy).

Motivation
As a developer I always had some difficulties to quantify hours in projects. Programs like MS-Project (:-() never got fill my needs mainly because they were never at my hand when need. When appear the Palmpilot I tought that my problems were solved, but the deception came when I knew that the majority solutions in project management were shareware (limited). So I tried to develop a project management by myself using the development tools for Palm III. First I tried to use java - my 2nd deception! It was slow and the way it treat the files was so primitive. I tried then to use gcc, although the limitations because it just work for C code - no problem about that :) - I started to have my firsts results. Then appears the Agenda VR3 with operating system Linux - that I already know since 94. Between the development tools, gcc (with C/C++ support) and a great API: FLTK, Flek and flpda, besides X libs! Then you know what happened...
This name Coyote is to remember that one from the cartoon who always made projects to get the Road-runner but he never got, probably because didn't have a software to manage projects :). The idea is to have a place where you put your projects, tasks and events or executions of a task, independent if you just do parts of your task per day. You can work in as many tasks as you want per day (don't forget you just have 24 hours per day :))!
